After lockdown

So there has been little change in Wirksworth for a while, but gradually the new normal is arriving here. We have been visiting other towns, and listening to market managers to see how things work elsewhere. Many markets never closed, but they all adapted. When the market gets going again we will still have some learning to do. – new expectations from customers, new demands from shoppers, almost certainly no change in the need for coffee and pies and massive onion bhajees. Seems like the most important thing is not to be judgemental, more a matter of being supportive… It will probably be a while before we can put out tables for people to rest a while, might even need to take track and trace info if we do! Unfortunately it will be a few months before the good cause cafes are up and running again. We won’t be opening up the hall for a while. We will be encouraging stallholders to accept cashless payments. Come to the market and support us, help us to get it right, constructive comments will be welcomed when we get going.
